Rule One Valuation Chrome Extension — Last updated May 17, 2026

Rule One Valuation (“the extension”) does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

Data stored on your device

The extension saves three user-configured settings to Chrome's sync storage: your minimum acceptable rate of return (MARR), the number of projection years, and your margin of safety percentage. These values never leave your browser except to sync across your own Chrome profiles via your existing Google account — the extension has no server of its own.

Network requests

When you open the popup on a Yahoo Finance quote page, the extension fetches publicly available financial data (EPS, analyst growth estimates, PE ratio) on your behalf. No request is routed through any developer-owned server. No data from those responses is stored beyond the current browser session.

Permissions

activeTab

Reads the ticker symbol from the page you are viewing to pre-fill the popup.

storage

Saves your three calculator settings locally and across your own Chrome profiles.

Third parties

The extension does not integrate analytics, advertising, or any third-party SDK. It has no affiliation with Yahoo Finance or Rule One Investing.
